Will Reese debuts his new album with an emphatic entrance! The album titled CAUTION! is a twelve-track masterpiece that the artist from Florida has carefully put together. We can go deep into the project with exciting songs featuring the likes of K.E.V.O who is another aspiring artist from Orlando and actually Will’s brother. We got Will to even tell us what the project has meant to him and the whole process his team went through.
“August 9th, 2019, @goodwithsub is visiting me when I still lived in ATL. He’s here from San Fran because we’re about to drive down to Orlando to shoot a video. He says to me a night before we leave, “I’ve never seen you make a song. It’d be cool to document you making one, call Karma and see if he’s down”. I hit up @Soulkidkarma & @alexrene.co respectively, to see if they were down. We agreed to meet up at Karma’s crib. Keep it a buck, I didn’t really feel like making music lol. That night we made the first song and intro to the album. I didn’t think much of the song at the time because I was in a space where I didn’t enjoy my art. I came home to Pine Hills last fall and went looking for me. I thought a lot about the conversations we’d had at Lex’s crib in the A, about how it still felt like I needed to show more of my identity in my music. I didn’t understand at the time but I heard him. I felt that too. I wanted to be myself and make things for us. Fast forward to summer 2020, the world is in flames of racial injustice amidst a pandemic & I’m living through it as we all were & are while still trying to figure this shit out. I won’t get into the personals but I was going through a lot and I needed to do for myself more than anybody else, so I got right to it. “Caution!” started as a five song EP that quickly grew into a twelve song album in the last five months. Without God, my Producer @Soulkidkarma, my amazing younger brother @kev_.1k, my Engineer @fireondatrack, my Art Director @goodwithsub, my Videographers @jedifilms & @alexrene.co, my best friends @edwinortizjr, @jimmy_esco, @ricodrinkswater, @tezlarain, @blccat& @wolfganglebaron. & the very talented @bychas for lending me her voice in the 4th quarter, I wouldn’t have this album. They each reminded me who I was and am. They each pushed me to be better in every way. They each had an ear for me when I had thoughts to share & now a year some months later, we present “Caution!”
