I Need A Second is my second song fully produced by the duo Geometrics, who I have been working with closely on my upcoming project. The concept is obvious in the title of the song, and how it’s for those times when you just need a second to yourself. I wrote this song after somethin’ happened to me that made me re-evaluate who I was and what my purpose is. I wrote this because I knew this was a feeling that a lot of people can relate to. Although it sounds super depressing, sonically the song has an upbeat vibe with the reggae-sounding sample, to remind the listener to continue movin’ forward among the setbacks and opposition.
