When people think of New Jersey, things such as The Sopranos, Jason Kidd, and New Jersey Drive may come to mind, but it’s a certain scene of artists who are bubbling in the “Garden State”. Hailing from South Jersey, Ish Williams is one of the artists from the state who has been paving a way for himself by discussing large issues in melodic form. Coming off the heels of his off-kilter visual, “Life$aver”, Williams bounces back with the well-thought-out project, “I’ll Be Okay”. The 8 song project compiles the feelings of overcoming mental health, self-triumph, inspiring his peers, and ultimately aspiring to be great while influence to be great as well. This effort by Williams allows his story to spread out in a fashion where it’s not only delivering powerful music but also having a running engine of purpose behind the lyrics he’s delivering as well.
