Shinobe was born and raised in Salisbury, North Carolina and started rapping at just 11-years-old. Growing up in one of the toughest projects in the state, Shinobe was embedded in the street life and caught an attempted murder charge, ultimately getting sentenced to 5 years in prison. Since his release, Shinobe has been working on his craft, recording nonstop, and putting the finishing touches on his forthcoming mixtape Street Diaries Vol. 1. For the first release from the project, the North Carolina rep drops “She Geekin” — a winding, molly-influenced trap single that comes intertwined with his auto-tuned vocals.
