Rogue Dynamo is back on the scene with a video for her latest single “Caged” – a stunning look at how negative thoughts and emotions can hold the creative mind captive. In the video, shot by K.D. Gray, with brilliant animation by Taylor Wentworth, Rogue tries to go about everyday life, but is haunted by strange creatures and apparitions that only she can see.
“The song is about being in a cage of your own mind & breaking out of it,” says the Atlanta-based MC. “I confront the visions and they stop ‘haunting’ me and I gain control…although the visions never go away. I learn to live with them and change how they affect me.”
“Caged” comes out just ahead of the upcoming EP, Roses and Karma, which is set to be released in 1Q15. With the same intensity of the previous single “On My Own”, the queen of the Dynamo Republic continues to stake her claim in Hip Hop with “Caged”.
