While we’re waiting for OG Maco’s debut album, Children of the Rage, the Quality Control standout has gifted fans with a new EP,10 Moons 2. Coming off a name change, the rapper also produced most of the tracks on the EP under the new moniker Maco Mattox. Mattox rides solo throughout the entire versatile seven-song EP, not including the standout song LIT which features Quavo & Cam Sheely and that alone is single worthy. No two tracks are the same, with production coming from JakeGoesDigital, OG Parker, Phresh Produce, and Maco Mattox. While you may have been more aware of Maco’s twitter presence, he’s still on his grind working tirelessly on his craft and it comes as no surprise that this is his sixth project of 2015. So you can only appreciate this project even more knowing Children of the rage is nearly finished waiting a release date. There’s no telling what you will get from the 2015 XXL Freshman until his debut album drops. With 10 Moons 2 and all the work he’s putting in, he’s still rising from “silent to quoted”. Fans could still be in store for another EP prior to Childen of the Rage. Seemingly enough, ending 10 Moons 2 is a track titled Moonlight and it does indeed back up everything Maco Mattox tweets & says about his music.
