It’s sad to know kids aren’t having a regular school year because of the pandemic. Kids need direction from educated leaders at this time. Right now it takes teachers and parents to help each other for the greater cause. In order for the children to succeed it’s about setting a positive example.
My daughter attended North Metro Academy of Performance Arts for Kindergarten and a few months for her 1st-grade year. Within the first 3 months, my daughter’s teacher changed 4 times. Which I felt was ridiculous for a school not to be able to keep a teacher around. After giving the school chance after chance I decided to withdraw my daughter and place her in public school. They kept promising change and things would get better but it never did. After finding out that the school doesn’t have to report to Gwinnett County because it’s a charter school. I took my daughter out with quickness.
It all started to make sense to me. This school only cares about getting funds from Gwinnett County to stay open. The school doesn’t have enough resources to be a charter school. The people that work in the front office is great but that’s a about it. They are nice people but far as educating the kids and providing them with the resources they need. This school fails miserably. My daughter attended a singing class and drama class that had no sitting for the kids. They had to sit on the floor for the entire class on carpet that’s never been cleaned.
Honestly, the staff sweeps all the problems under the rug. They hide bad test scores and just allow kids to pass. DO NOT ALLOW YOUR CHILD TO ATTEND THIS SCHOOL. Thankfully I took my daughter out before she would’ve got behind. Public School showed me how bad North Metro Academy of Performance Arts is. Don’t get fooled by the cute uniforms. If you are a caring parent and you want the best for your child. Do not send them here! After they failed me and my daughter all they could say was good luck.
