No Rent – For My City

Hip-Hop has obviously impacted our culture but the reach that it has outside of the states has begun to grow so rapidly that almost every major country has some sort of hip-hop influence with the younger generations. That brings me to the introduction of an artist by the name of No Rent who was born, raised and is still living in Scotland.

A few weeks back No Rent dropped off his first ever single “Little Bit” which set the internet ablaze and caught the attention of some major gatekeepers. Not to mention some early comparisons to Post Malone and The Weeknd in regards to his use of harmonies and melodies throughout his music. Today No Rent decides to give the masses a new vibe as he releases the anthemic “For My City.”

“For My City” further proves that Scottish born No Rent can find his own lane over here in the United States. By the first listen you can’t even tell that he’s in a completely different continent. No Rent goes on to say that everything he is doing is for his city, the success and failures, the love and the hate have made him into the person he is today.
