Nayo, the most underrated lyricist coming out of Atlanta, and this time he has a message for the ladies. In his much anticipated EP, Philogynist, meaning a person who admires women; opposed to a misogynist. Nayo makes an ode to women admitting the wrong doings and mistakes of his past. It’s not enough that male rappers admit their faults when it comes to women; and not only does Nayo accept ‘the blame’ but he does it so poetically. In his 10-track EP, Nayo throws in classic samples from Donell Jones to more recent cuts from Alina Baraz, making each word count. Led by singles, “Thirst” and “Philogynist [The Intro]” which we can see a visual for now, fans can also stream the EP thanks to the good folks over at Spotify.
