Meeko Fly, a young artist from the Windy City has recently finished and released his most recent project called “BLESSAH” (all links will be provided below). A whopping 20 tracks definitely prove that this is his finest work to date. I’ve been watching the kid progress throughout the past year and he’s caught my attention. His image and sound is completely unique compared to his peers. A lot of music is currently coming out of Chicago, but it’s all the same. Meeko’s music is guaranteed to ignite a new vibe in your ears. If you like it or not is dependent on your own taste, but it’s worth the listen and look. To follow up the release of the tape Meeko dropped his collaboration with well-known video production/music blog @ELEVATOR_ who have previously worked with artists such as Chance The Rapper, Vic Mensa, Lil Bibby, Lucki Eck$, and other well known Chicago musicians. The recorded visuals are for the outstanding, dark track “Suicidal Thoughts” I’m highly recommending to check this out first! This track touches upon the real struggles of life vs death. The topic is in the title, it’s crucial for upcoming young artists to talk about these types of subjects. Meeko is a smart individual who’s passionate about music. His voice and lyrical talent can influence the youth dramatically if it falls into the correct hands. It’s rare to find rappers touching upon issues such as he does. Continuing on, every other track on the tape is easy to listen to. It’s a project meant to be played through fully and contains a wide variety of subjects, themes, and materials. My personal favorite songs are “Crazy World” and “Daily Sinner” (which he has a music video for also)
