Mariah Carey Signs With Roc Nation

Legendary singer Mariah Carey is trying to get her career back on track and she’s reportedly hoping Jay-Z’s Roc Nation will do the trick after signing with the management firm, according to Page Six.

After firing her former manager of three years, Stella Bulochnikov, who lured Mariah into reality TV and other non-music endeavors, Carey is continuing to overhaul her circle in an effort to revamp her career. Earlier this year, Mariah re-upped her deal with Epic, the label L.A. Reid brought her back home to in 2015

“[Mariah’s] cleaning house,” an anonymous source told Page Six. “She is getting legitimate people, assistants, a lawyer, and Stella is not happy about it.”

It was previously reported that Carey’s backup dancer and boyfriend, Bryan Tanaka, had taken over as her day-to-day manager, but it has since been confirmed that his role is as her creative director. “Previously, there were all kinds of people involved [in her career] and Mariah didn’t even know those people,” the source later added. “She had to distance herself from all that and she’s now cleaning house.”

Roc Nation Management continues to grow as a powerhouse and boasts an impressive client list that currently includes Rihanna, Big Sean, DJ Khaled, Fabolous, Meek Mill and more.

Mariah and Hov go way back. The duo worked together for her hit single, “Heartbreaker” and a couple other times since then.
