
Something about the DMV scene is unique. The culture is one of a kind for the DVM. It’s developed and contributed to the rap game for a while. But it continues to hold back the DMV artists from going national and global. Sometimes I feel they don’t focus on making hooks. It’s more about the beat and flow. That’s what makes Lil Zay stand out. He’s gaining attention from different A&Rs, and his video “Street Poetry” might be it. If Lil Zay can work on staying more consistent, who knows what can happen for him?
