Brooklyn artist, Latasha Alcindor aka L.A. premieres her new Fro Casso directed visuals for track, “The Island”, the newest offering from her ongoing DWS visual series. Taking slight detour from from her previous releases, the Sam Katz-produced song displays L.A.’s growth in body, mind and spirit, juxtaposing the masses.
An anthem of belonging and self-acceptance, “The Island” champions for the freedom of the brown girl and is an acclamation of the beauty of not fitting in to society’s ‘norm’ …yet still feeling at home.
