Honest, open and dope are the three words this Buffalo, NY native uses to describe her music. Making music since the tender age of 12, L.O.V.E the Genius made her money from selling her EP in the streets of New York. Aside from the music, her name alone is a message within itself.
“L.O.V.E is an acronym for Living Over Various Expectations and The Genius came from being repeatedly told and believing in my creative genious-ness, or abilities to create unique things in all forms of art.”
Growing up as the only child, L.O.V.E had plenty of time on her hands which pushed her to begin writing and eventually turned into her getting into the studio to recite them over a beat. “When you listen to my music, you are listening to me talk about real things that has happened or is currently happening in my life.”
Some of L.O.V.E’s most proudest moments was opening up for Nas and earning an invite to the studio with Jazzy Pha and The Dream. This invite was not because of who she knew, but simply because they’ve heard about her work. “My music is dope and not so much on a trendy level. It’s music that will make you want to change your trend versus me conforming.”
