J. Addison Drops College Anthem “I Love My HBCU” [submitted @karmenrydem]

Hailing from the eastside of Atlanta, GA, J. Addison, also known as Trubb, has been doing music for the past six years. Like any individual that gets their start in music, there is always something that sparks their interest of wanting to become an artist. For J. Addison, it was the response he received in high school after signing to a label that eventually got his record played on the radio.

“The next day at school was crazy! I got a taste of the celebrity life and I been addicted ever since.”

Now going under the name J. Addison instead of Trubb, he expects this new record “I Love My HBCU” to touch not only students, but faculty, teachers and even families. Especially since there is not a true anthem for students who attend HBCU’s, Addison expects this record to play at basketball games, football games, and more. When you look at it from a bigger picture, Atlanta is a huge melting pot of “trap” and “twerk” music, so it looks good on Addison’s end for creating a song that could potentially become an annual record for all people who love their alma mater to vibe to.
