Growing up in and around Houston, southern hip hop culture is $outhern’s bread and butter. He began his career as an emcee and songwriter, but the political landscape of rap steered him toward the creative side of production. Though his songwriting skills are still prominent, the likes of 9th Wonder, the Alchemist, Zaytoven and Havoc have heavily influenced $outhern to create pure and genuine music — simply for the sake of sound.
While $outhern looks to conquer the production game, he turns his attention toward Le$ of JetLife. Beats 4 Le$ is meant to showcase the immaculate versatility of a very skilled southern artist, and provide Le$ with the ideal, smooth sounds he’s looking for.
