Gene Perlin – “I Hope It Saves Me…” (Prod. Beasley Bangorz)

New Jersey-based artist Gene Perlin shares his new single, I Hope It Saves Me… Produced by Beasley Bangorz, who is known for the song Already that he produced for Kodak Black. The song is about Gene Perlin’s relations with someone he was involved with at the time & he felt like she broke all of the promises that she made to him. They end up going their separate ways & in order for Gene to cope he indulges in temporary pleasures with multiple women, partying, drugs & living the fast life. Here’s what Gene had to say describing the making of the song:
I wrote a song about this girl that was on my mind heavy the day before I was going to be in the studio with Beasley Bangorz with no intentions of ever recording it. As I’m listening to beats in the studio I start to freestyle & the melody from the song I had wrote the day before pops in my head and for some weird reason that song fit perfectly on one of the beats that was played for me. It was like magic. I recorded the song then and there, the vibe was perfect.
Take a journey through Gene’s mind, and listen to the song below!
