Atlanta is full of talent but a lot of people don’t understand how the city is split up. Atlanta is the heart of the city but the outskirts are expanding and so is the Atlanta sound. You have artists like 645AR and Sofaygo that are coming from Marietta and Woodstock, Georgia. That’s about 30 to 40 mins outside of Atlanta up 75 North. And while we are heading up that way we should bring up 1Takee.
I actually got time to have a 1 on 1 phone conversation with 1Takee. He’s not your normal cocky artist and he’s determined to show the world he has what it takes. One take got into music because his career as a football player came to a complete stop. While getting a physical to enter college football he was told he has a rare heart condition. This situation crushed his soul so he found another way to catch a thrill. 1Takee came up with his name from playing sports and just being tunnel vision about completing his goals. Growing up a considerate kid made 1Takee feel like it’s his time to shine. It was his time to take the moment and make something out of it
Unlike most rappers, 1Takee is motivated to show his homies that anything is possible. He’s trying to uplift his circle by showing action. With being indie and developing his own sound it can get tough. But 1Takee shows no signs of slowing down. With being inspired by his friend’s music and local rappers. 1Takee feels it’s only right he continues to keep his ears to the streets. Artists like Lil Durk, Lil Baby, and Aboogie have paved a way for his sound.
1Takee latest project “Hear Me Out” is well put together. It’s a 10 song project with tracks he’s been sitting on for a while. 1Takee put time into picking out the right songs to present the project to the public. 1Takee showcases a wide range of talent and it’s not a good idea to try to box his sound in. He’s melodic on some records and in others he’s showing off his rap skills. With sports being in the rearview mirror, 1Takee is ready to give his all in music.
