Chicago’s CJ TheFLii Releases Self-Produced “True Colors” Project

Cj TheFLii is a rapper/producer born and raised in Chicago. With an ongoing passion for Rap and Hip Hop since the age of 9, he began officially recording music in early 2010 as well as formed his art/music group F.A.T.O. His musical influences have been said to be the likes of Kanye West, Nas, Lil Wayne, Lupe Fiasco, 50 Cent, Cam’ron, and many others.

In late 2013, CJ found a second passion in producing. He soon began producing his own music as well as collaborating with his F.A.T.O. co-artists. In a span of 5 years CJ put together several projects including his SUPER-NATURAL tape which came out in January 2016 It was at that time, CJ considering taking a break from music.

Though CJ did take some time off, he released a 4-track EP titled Road To True Colors two months ago, and followed it with his buzzing “Loners” single which is currently getting play on Power 92.3, and was endorsed by legend Trey The Choklit Jok.

After sharing three episodes of his Road To True Colors series, the 21-year-old returns with his 14-track project, True Colors.

“This was an idea..one’s true colors..whether it be me or.. anyone…the ideology of finding yourself…this is the soundtrack to my life from February 2015 to now,” CJ shares with us.

Laying a majority of the soundscape and flexing his lyrical prowess, CJ The FLii is proving to be a double-edged sword that is soon to make noise in the Midwest.
