A deep love and drive for his family heavily influences IB’s musical process and past artists he draws inspiration from — a variety of esteemed artists ranging from Phil Collins to Dr. Dre. As he progresses with an incredibly developed sound, IB looks to bring feel good sounds of eras past to a new modern light. His previous work with Saba Pivot and Chicago’s Treated Crew have given us a promising preview of what’s to come from IB’s next project and future work.
Today, I.B. teams up with one of hip hop’s most promising up and comers, Young Lyxx of San Diego/Atlanta. Since recording a debut project in 2009, Young Lyxx has garnered incredible attention from blogs, media and esteemed artists all over the country. Aside from being a young trailblazer who broke into the mainstream scene (via The Source, DJ Booth, ILLroots, etc), Lyxx is an incredibly talented songwriter and performer. He’s been featured on FUSE TV’s “The Hustle”, and has performed alongside J.Cole, Dom Kennedy, A$AP Rocky, Big KRIT… to name a few.
