Fresh off of the collaborative Bando Beatz EP, FACETIME, Cheikh has returned with a visual for “BEING,” a song off of his forthcoming project entitled Lunatic. Originally from Chicago, Cheikh is currently based in Atlanta with the likes of Ron Shaw (pacmanADV) and COMMAND, working closely with both Menace IV Society and Bando Beatz. This vignette was shot by yng yhwh in Washington, DC this summer. yng yhwh is currently working with Wara from the NBHD on his latest, still unreleased music video from his album Kidnapped.
“Lunatic is a conversation between myself and Eye, the journal of many entities that make up the pieces of me, Cheikh. As a black male, eye feel isolated in this society and even By this society and its members. So Lunatic is a message in a bottle to my future self, it is an Epistle written solely to inspire me to continue on the path of a righteous Apostle. We will always be Water, the Moon moves us.”
