D. Savage, one of the bigger artists to come out of the 2016-2017 SoundCloud wave, released his first single of 2022, “2022 Freestyle.” The song’s production is a loop containing an assortment of voices that form melodies and counter melodies, just under a thirty-second intro, low, heavy bass, and a hard kick to bring everything together. D. Savage chose not to use a lot of autotune and melodies for this song, and instead stuck to hard-hitting bars. Will we see another D. Savage release this year? We’ll just have to wait and see.
