Jayi Steez has a sound that’s hard to explain. He also comes from a small town. His sound feels futuristic but soulful. I like it. It’s like imagine if Anthony Hamilton was a rapper. Weird, I know. Is it just as weird as the name of this record? It’s called “Better Than Ya Mama” and it slaps. The beat feels like something left field. I respect when an artist can create his or her own sound.
